Uma Kunda - work almost finished to 3 new classrooms

Uma Kunda Lower Secondary School has 135 students and is located between Bhandar and Kinja villages on the lower Jiri-Everest trek. The school was completely flattened in the earthquake and rebuilt for £8,300 which was very generously donated by Paul & Pat Lillington, two retired university lecturers from Keswick, both in their early 70’s. Work is well underway to rebuild the second block of classrooms which was also destroyed in the 2015 earthquake.
